The Great Haircut

Once again, I can't get pictures in the order I want them. Just pretend, okay?
For a few years now, Chloe has talked about donating her butt-length hair, but kept changing her mind. She finally decided to go through with it, and we cut 9 inches off! We sent it to Pantene's "Great Lenghts" campaign to help make wigs. Chloe was very excited, and she looks so cute in her new hair. Also, I think its good for her not to get so many compliments about how long and pretty her hair was- she was either going to get very vain, or worried that her long hair was the only pretty thing about her.
Not to be outdone, Ellie decided to cut her hair, too. We cut off 7 inches of her hair, which sadly wasn't enough to donate, but Ellie knew EXACTLY how short she wanted it cut. Its pretty darn cute, too. Ellie after
Ellie was very patient in the chair- she hardly moved, or smiled, the whole time.

The after- still long enough for braids and ponies!

The before (after the after picture, I know. Drives me crazy.)

And one last pose together with long hair!

I am very proud of my girls- Chloe for finally pulling the trigger and doing something nice for other people, and Ellie for being so sure of herself, and for being right- her hair is so cute that short!

Baseball fever!

I love this time of year- beautiful sunshine, wildflowers and baseball! AC is Hayden's coach this year. He wasn't planning on it, but then we got the "we don't have enough volunteers so there won't be enough teams" email, and he gave in. Luckily, Hayden's two best buds and their parents wanted to be on our team and are ACs assistants. They make a good team, Shari, Scott and AC. As coach's wife, I get to be snack bar coordinator, team mom and scorekeeper. Lucky me.
Billy is not on Hayden's team, but that boy loves baseball, so he gets to be on the baseball blog. Here he is running the bases after Hayden's game last week. Nana, Papa, Uncle Travis, Aunt Natalie, Emily, Billy, Abi and Grandma all came to his game last week. He had the largest cheering section imaginable, and he was thrilled.
Billy going for his second lap, with his biggest fan cheering him on. In her flip flops. In all of that dirt. yuck.

Hayden is one of the few boys that actually owns and wears a cup, so he has to catch almost every game. He's getting pretty sick of it, and he was trying to give his cup to AJ the other day so AJ would catch. We had to have a talk about personal property, and how certain things we just can't share with friends. He is improving at catcher, and will now try to catch the ball instead of just dodging it.

Finally at 3rd base, one of his favorite positions. He's a mean, lean fielding machine. Okay, so he's none of those things, but he does like playing 3rd. I'm just glad that he likes baseball so much, because it is by far my favorite sport to watch. I won't mind in the least if I get to watch him play baseball every year for the foreseeable future.
GO SOX!!

More fun Easter pictures

I took a lot of pictures on Easter. My aunt Pam and Uncle John joined us this year. I always love having them over. Aren't they a good looking pair?

My dad and Uncle John. These two have known each other since they were little boys.

My cousin J and his daughter Faith. Isn't she a cutie? I think he kinda likes her a bit.

J, Faith and Tami, with Travis acting like the guy from the Hangover while he was on Saturday Night Live.

Abi slept the day away, with her thumb in her mouth. I think every grown up there peeked in at her at least once.

Tami and Faith.

Billy. Again. I can't stay away from that face.
Now, there are no pictures of my children on here. It is not because I don't love them, because I do. Frankly, they are sick of me and my camera, and will often run away, or give me a snarky look. Plus, we have so many good looking people in this family I had to focus on them for a bit.

Easter Picture Fun

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday. Church followed by lunch at Grandma's and a really fun egg hunt. I've been playing around with some actions on photoshop that I downloaded from the Pioneer Woman. Its a lot of fun, I just wish my computer was faster. The first 2 pictures are straight out of camera, but the rest are ones that I've fiddled with. Its no coincidence that they are mostly of Natalie's kids- those gorgeous children take the best pictures, and I'm drawn to them like bees to honey.
