Hey there, Cowboy!

Hayden finally has his cowboy hat, an item he's coveted for many months now. We spent the weekend in Young, and had a great time. I think Hayden only took off his hat to sleep. He really liked riding in the horse-drawn wagon during the Pleasant Valley days parade. The rain and mud were a big hit, too.

Welcome Abby!

Say Hello to Miss Abigail Browning Deatsch. Isn't she adorable? I am a proud auntie! Emi is happy to finally have a "Born" baby, and we think that Billy is hoping that the baby is really Grandma's, and will be taken home soon. Travis and Natalie are now officially outnumbered- welcome to the 3s Club. It's a blast, in between the moments of absolute chaos. Welcome Abby- we love you already.

Water Baby

Don't you just love bath pictures? No matter how grumpy Ellie is, she always cheers up when I say "bath". The hardest part is getting her clothes off of her before she climbs in the tub. It's always a battle- sometimes I win, sometimes I do laundry.

Hero worship. That's what it is. Hayden and Chloe love Chauncey to death. They think anything Chauncey does is funny and too cool. How nice to be adored.

Cheerful Ellie???

I hate to say it out loud for fear of jinxing it, but Ellie has been positively cheerful for 8 days in a row now. I don't know if she's growing into her personality finally, or if she just needed a well deserved beach vacation, but this past week she's been smiley, non-screechy and has even laughed a few times. At 15 months tomorrow, it's about time Happy Ellie emerged- I knew she was in there somewhere. And a Happy Ellie makes a very Happy Mommy.

Surfer Dudes

We just got back from a week in Coronado. Bliss. Hayden had a blast boogie boarding, Chloe found lots of shells, and Ellie, well, was Ellie. It was a great week- thanks mom and dad. I'm sure I'll be sharing lots of beach pictures for awhile. Here's one of the Surfer Dudes.
