Peek-a-Boo!!

Our old, ugly vertical blinds are good for something, at least.

GO CUBS!

Two words I thought I'd never hear myself saying. Hayden had his first T-ball game the other day, and he loved it. Even though they don't keep score, can only run to one base at a time, and everyone gets to hit each inning, it was still fun to watch. I hope hayden learns to love baseball and sticks with it. In any case, he sure is cute in his uniform- even when you can see his Star Wars undies through his white pants.

Squishy

a.k.a. Abigail. Her nickname seems to be "Squishy", which is, as you can see, apt. She is close to dethroning Hayden as the "King of the rubber band arms". In addition to being quite adorable, she is also as sweet as can be, with a wonderful two-tooth grin. As Ellie likes to say, "baby abi!baby abi!baby abi!"

Happy Kids on Easter

Okay, chloe doesn't look exactly happy in this picture, but she really was. I didn't get that many cute pictures b/c, frankly, its hard to concentrate on pictures when one of your children is screaming. We do what we can with what we have.

Happy Easter!

Well, apparently not that happy for Miss E. We had an egg hunt at Grandma's on Saturday, and Ellie went down for a nap at 12 and didn't get up until 4:30 and missed the whole thing. By the time she woke up, all of her cousins were gone, the food was put away and we went home. Then today after church we hid some eggs for a mini-egg hunt in our yard, and, as you can see, she didn't really enjoy herself then either. If she found a real egg she would throw it back, and if she found a plastic one she'd plop down in the grass and open it, praying for more M&Ms. She's crying in this picture because Dad had the nerve to take away her candy. Poor Ellie. Better luck next year.
More pictures of happy children tomorrow.

At the Zoo, without a Flash

Okay, Steph, these are for you. I turned off the flash. I didn't do anything to these in photoshop, but they aren't bad for early attempts at flash-free photography, whilst enjoying an outing with the active ones. I'll have to work on using my brain a bit more quickly as I change settings- physically and on the camera. I missed a LOT of shots while I tried to figure out my camera settings for the given light, but that's okay. We've been to the zoo before. And we all know that practice makes perfect.

And on the zoo side of this equation, Ellie was VERY excited to see real-life MoMos in action. Yes, she liked the monkeys! What a suprise!

Fun in the Backyard

The kids enjoy the play equipment in the backyard. There are bars to climb, slides to slides and sand to throw. And since SPring Break is officially here, they will have lots of time to play this week, before the hot weather starts!

Serious Artists

We had some serious art going on around here today. All three kiddos got to paint while wearing daddy's shirts- don't tell daddy. I'm not sure we have any future artists in our group- although Hayden has an eye for Post-Post-Modern. Anyway- it's the process, not the product, right?
