Around here, we celebrate birthdays as much as we can. Hayden's friend party was fun- swimming, slip and slide, pinata . . . He had a great time with his cousins and friends.
Hayden enjoyed his family birthday dinner last night. The Lincoln logs were a huge hit, as were the dinosaurs and Rescue Heroes. He was so pooped, he slept in and was a bit late for school today. Ahhh, the life of a party boy.
I can't believe that Hayden is 6 years old today. He was such a cute little (big) baby- and now he's a big Kindergartner. It's such a cliche- but time really does fly when they are little. Next thing I know he'll be in college. Happy Birthday, to my wonderful boy.
Well, we survived the first day of Kindergarten. Hayden was fine, Mom had a little trouble. He is very excited about the school year. I didn't have the heart to tell him that he has approximately 17+ years to go . . . He LOVED riding the bus, too. I can't believe my baby is in school already.
The kids had a blast camping last weekend. Emily, Hayden, Chloe, Billy and Ellie all played in the mud- it rained for hours each afternoon and evening. I'm still doing laundry- and we've been home four days. It's messy work, being a camper.
While in Young, we had a few early morning wakeups. What better way to kill some time than to take a little hike with the fam? We didn't bother with changing out of our jammies- you might as well be comfy. Notice Chloe's rain boots- always prepared, we are. Chloe also successfully completed her first Tinkle in the woods- She executed the squat perfectly, and had no errant drips. We are so proud.
