Happy Birthday, Chauncey!

We had Chauncey's 14th birthday party last night. It was great fun. I can't believe that he is 14 already. Time flies. The food was yummy, the swimming fun and the views of Emi's plumber crack were priceless. Thanks for everyone for coming, and thanks Tara for cleaning my kitchen. Waking up to a spotless kitchen was a rare treat for me. Happy Birthday, Chauncey, you are a great kid and we love you very much.

Freedom!

My nephew Billy really likes to be naked. I don't blame him one bit- if I were that cute au natural, I'd be naked a lot more often. But, alas, my bottom is no longer smaller than my head, so no running around the yard Lady Godiva style for me. Billy was having a blast playing catch with his dad (who, thankfully, remained fully dressed) and feeling the wind in his nether regions. You can't help but smile when faced with those cheeks!

The Daring Duo

Hayden jumped off of the diving board, in this case the diving rock, for the first time last night. His hero, Chauncey, was doing it, so it couldn't be all that bad. He had a blast. Thanks, Mom and Dad, for such a great birthday dinner. We all had a good time.

Best Buds

Yes, they do always get along like this. Well, almost always. Okay, okay, they fight, but every once in awhile I catch them being sweet to each other- usually when they are in cahoots, planning mischief and mayhem. What a pair.

The Craft Kids

Are they adorable, or what?? A quick photo session in the town square in Prescott. The beautiful weather was a bonus, and the kids loved walking around the arts festival- oh, and the giant caramel apple with sprinkles didn't hurt.
